      After Robert’s bike was struck by a motor vehicle, we leveraged our expertise to secure a substantial payout that covered his future lost income and pain and suffering.

      Robert, an experienced cyclist, was heading to work when he was hit from behind by a car. The collision resulted in serious injuries to his head, pelvis, hips, and legs, leaving him unable to work and requiring extensive ongoing care.

      As a high earner, Robert faced significant income loss. Despite this, compensation for future lost wages is capped by law, no matter how much has actually been lost. To ensure Robert received the maximum compensation, we needed to build a watertight case.

      Complicating matters, Robert was injured again in a separate accident during the legal process. The insurer argued that his future wage losses were due to this second accident, not the initial collision. We countered this by analysing his financial records and outlining detailed scenarios of his future losses.

      Our team also demonstrated his pain and suffering, which is the negative impact of the injuries on his life. In particular, we illustrated the differences between his pre- and post-accident life.

      Ultimately, we negotiated a $1.72 million settlement for Robert, the highest amount allowed by law. By settling out of court, we also saved him from additional court costs and administrative fees.
