      After a slip-and-fall accident at work, Emma* was left with significant injuries. We used strong expert evidence to prove five separate parties were responsible for her condition.

      When Emma entered her workplace’s bathroom, the wet floors caused her to slip and fall, resulting in severe injuries to her neck, back, shoulder, knee, and ankle, all of which required extensive surgery.

      From the first moment we heard Emma’s story, we realised she had a claim against more than just her employers. In fact, we identified five parties who could be held responsible for Emma’s accident: her employer, the building’s occupier, the building manager, the cleaners, and the plumbers who had recently worked on the bathroom.

      Armed with this knowledge, we brought in liability experts to demonstrate how each party failed to keep the bathroom floor safe and that her accident was a foreseeable result of their oversights.

      At the same time, we gathered medical reports, witness statements, and expert medical evidence to illustrate the extent of Emma’s injuries and their impact on her daily life. This evidence also highlighted the financial and emotional impact of her condition, including the costs of medical treatment and ongoing care, as well as her pain and suffering.

      After building a strong case, we entered into a full day of negotiations with all five responsible parties. In the end, we successfully settled Emma’s claim for $1.55 million. This ensures she can afford the necessary medical treatment and care for her injuries.
