My name is Kelly Keane, and I specialize in personal injury. What is a public liability claim? If you think of it simply like this, like a slip on the street or a slip and fall in a shopping center or a supermarket, or even something like, say if you're a tenant and you're renting premises and you're injured in the premises because something's inherently wrong with the premises, then those will fall under the sphere of public liability claims. What I find most rewarding about this area of practice that is personal injury and including public liability claims and all the sorts of claims that we do, is that we have the knowledge, we have the expertise, and to be able to know that you can really make a difference to somebody's life. That someone who was doing a really tough financially or having a hard time at home, we're just doing basic things for themselves and cooking and cleaning and that sort of thing. For me, it's rewarding knowing that you can really make a difference in that person's life, not only financially, but also in other ways as well. Because a lot of times people don't know where to turn to. Say they're having troubles at home, being able to do basic things, then you might be able to put them in touch with somebody who can help them do those things at home. So a lot of times it's not just with the law that you're helping people with, you're giving them sort of direction, or you're giving them other options or other things that they can consider. That really does feel like you are making a difference, and that is a really rewarding feeling.
